Andrew Jackson, Seventh President

"We have stake the whole future of American civilization not on the power of government, far from it.  We have staked the whole of our political institutions upon the capacity of mankind for self-government, upon the capacity of each and all of us to govern ourselves according to the commandments of God.  The future and success of America is not in this Constitution, but in the laws of God upon which this Constitution is founded."

James Madison, Fourth President

"Before any man can be considered as a member of civil society, he must be considered as a subject of the Governor of the Universe.  And to the same Divine Author of every good and perfect gift we are indebted for all those privileges and advantages, religious as well as civil, which are so richly enjoyed in this favored land."

James Monroe, Fifth President

"The Bible is the one supreme source of revelation of the meaning of life, the nature of God, and spiritual nature and needs of men.  It is the only guide of life which really leads the spirit in the way of peace and salvation. 1 John 4:10-12 In this is love, not that we have loved God but that He loved us and send His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.  Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.  No one has ever seen God; if we love one another, God abides in us and His love is perfected in us.

"I'm not afraid of the devil.  The devil can
handle me -he's got judo I never heard of.

Psalms 65:11 You crown the year with Your bounty, and Your carts overflow with abundance.

Philippians 3:13-14 Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it.  But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.

Isaiah 9: 6-7 For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; and the government will be upon His shoulder.  And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlastin Father, Prince of Peace.  Of the increase of His government and upon the throne of David and over His kindom to order it and establish it with judgement and justice from that time forward, even forever.  The zeal of the Lord of host will perform this.

Eph 2:10 NKJV  For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.  Once we become Christians our motivations change. In Christ we are now equipped to do those things  that are acceptable and pleasing to God. These good works are not just good idea's or thoughts. The scripture is clear that we do them as we walk around. This means they happen everyday and sometimes all day long.

Gal 5:25 NKJV   If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
The Apostle Paul exhorts us to have more than a thought or philosophy about being Spirit filled Christians. He encourages us to be examples by walking each day in the Spirit.  Many people have said "The Christian life is difficult to live, I can't do it". The Christian life isn't difficult, it is impossible. The Holy Spirit is the only one who can live the Christian life in us and through us. We should surrender more and more of our life over daily to the Holy Spirit and stop trying to do what He alone can do, live Christ's life through us.
